Globally, businesses and communities are being affected by the Coronavirus pandemic. During these uncertain times, we want to assure you that Centrica Business Solutions is doing all we can to keep our employees and our customers safe.

Following government guidance, we have taken the decision to stand down our training and as of the 24th March, our training centres have temporarily closed. All delegates booked on courses with us over the next few weeks have been contacted and training will be transferred to a new date free of charge.

We have also successfully mobilised all office staff to be able to work from home. We are utilising video conferencing software for meetings to continue to support our customers and each other, and as always, we are available via email and telephone.

As the UK navigates through lockdown, keyworkers continue to support the country and are essential to the COVID-19 response. This includes utility workers and therefore some of our inspectors have been deemed essential workers to support the infrastructure and ongoing requirements of our critical customers. This includes hospitals, water engineering sites, construction sites and some food and drink manufacturers.

For these projects, we have completed detailed Risk Assessments for Covid-19 and have implemented the 2-meter distancing rule as well as delivering additional vans to our employees, giving teams the option to travel separately and maintain social-distancing. Where it is not vital for us to be on-site, we have taken the decision to stand down some of our field engineers/inspectors.

Please know that during these difficult times, we’re here beside you, ready to help you quickly adapt to the changing circumstances.

Please remember that electrical safety remains critical, and compliance with health and safety laws is vital to protect the future of your business. Now is a fantastic time to review your procedures.

Take a look at how we can help:

Training
Free Training Needs Analysis in April

We have training courses scheduled until the end of the year, with more dates being reviewed and added as appropriate. Now is a fantastic time to review the skills of your employees and identify any gaps.

To assist you in identifying the correct training required for your workforce, in April we are offering a free mini Training Needs Analysis service to support your business in becoming compliant with the latest UK Health & Safety legislation, and to ensure your training budget is utilised in the most cost-effective way.

This would be a 1-hour session conducted via video conferencing that we will set up with one of our electrical tutors.

Book now and beat the surge in training demand

We will return fully operational as soon as government advice allows and anticipate there will be an increased demand for training due to the current guidelines in place and the temporary closures of training facilities. Due to this, we advise that you get in touch without delay to secure your preferred onsite training course date or a place at one of our training centres.

Should you book a date and government advice means we will need to further postpone any courses, then we are fully flexible and will reschedule any training booked to a future date to suit your operational requirements, free of charge.

Please get in touch for more information and to discuss future dates.

Inspection and Testing
Secure your place now!

By ensuring all aspects of your electrical installation run safely, you can protect your business against potential failures, dangers and compliance issues. Electrical safety remains key and if your electrical installation is due to be tested, we advise you secure your place with us now as we anticipate being extremely busy in the coming months.

Please contact us and a member of the team will be happy to discuss your requirements. We are working on a proposed plan for May onwards depending on the current circumstances and will be happy to provisionally book you in where possible in order to meet your compliance needs.

Rest assured we are flexible with dates and should there be a need to move the work, we will do this with no further cost to your business.

Finally, on behalf of everyone at Centrica Business Solutions, we would like to thank you for your ongoing support and assure you we will do all we can to provide our customers support where possible.

All our customers are important to us and we will try our best to facilitate or accommodate your requirements.

We will continue to review our position during this global pandemic and will give you as many updates as possible. Please remember we are here, and you can contact us on 0800 980 8150 or by emailing compliancesolutions@centrica.com.

Stay Safe and Well.
